New Graphics Card, Game reinstall

Is there any need to reinstall games when you upgrade your graphics card? The manual on my ATI 9000 Pro card says that I need to. I tried running my games without a reinstall and they seemed to play fine.
Is it advisable to do a reinstall? Am I likely to be missing out on the quality of game graphics by not reinstalling?

Hi I have the ATI Radeon9000Pro too. My manual did not say this. I belive that you are good to go once the new cards driver is installed. Also, go ahead and update the card's driver that will ensure that you are getting the best performance.
