My system a Dell XPS400 2.8 GB Dual Core proccessor already has a 16x PCI-E GRaphics card a Radeon X300SE Hper Mem 128MB ! The PSU is 375W ! My ? is I've been looking at a new card out also a Radeon its a MSI Radeon HD 4670 512mb gddr3 PCIE 2.0x16 Graphics Card
Host Interface:PCI Express 2.0 x16
Standard Memory:512MB, whats throwing me off is the 2.0 ,no where on my current cards specs does it say its a 2.0 X16 PCI-Express interface . My Mother Board a Dell Inc 0FJ030 has 3 differant speeed PCI Express slots ! Now my USB is 2.0 however I do not know what the 2.0 for the PCI-Express means and if it would make the new graphics card not compatable with my system ? Any input greatly appreciated ! Happy New Year to All
Thanks Nick

The X300SE is an extremely weak card. I recall exchanging "unpleasantries" with you about it, trying to convince you to go with something better. Glad to see you've finally come to your senses :-)

PCI-e 2.0 cards are backwards compatible with PCI-e 1.x so you shouldn't have a problem.

And the Radeon HD4670 is an excellent choice for a machine with a weak PSU. It only consumes about 60W so it doesn't even need the aux 6-pin PCI-e power plug...it gets all the power it needs from the PCI-e x16 slot. And the MSI card is highly rated. Nice going!

Thanks Jam for the information ,I now can go forward with a purchase the new graphics card ! I knew my current card the X300SE was not giving me the best performance in a video card ,however I have not insstalled any games on my system and for what Iam using my PC for it seems to be holding its own! However I have decided to start using some all the extra H.D. room I have and install some of the newer games that require a better card. I appreciate your reply and wish you and your family a Happy New Year !
Thanks Again ,Nick
