Greetings all,
I'm in the market for a new PC. I thought I'd get some suggestions from you all here.
So, I've got AUD$1100 to spend, that's about $950 American.
I have some things left over from my last PC such as a 550W PSU, the dvd and cd RWs. I also have my old HDD which is only 60GB, so I'm looking to upgrade that.
I hear that AMD CPUs are the best for gaming at the moment(?). I am making a gaming computer, but don't need it to be super high end. I'd like to be able to play Dragon Age, when it comes out, on high-ish settings at least. I'd love for LOTR online to be on high settings too.
So what I need is a Mobo, CPU, RAM, GPU and HDD. Is it worth getting a high end case, does it really make a difference?
Cheers and sorry for the very open-ended question.
Chris Buchli.

Oh, I should also add that I have a monitor already too and I'm happy with what I've got there.
AND, should I stick with XP or upgrade to Vista? If I'm going to upgrade to Vista, why am I going to do that?
Thanks,
Chris.
