New Custom-built PC emits Odd squeeking noise

Specs: Windows XP Pro 32 bit, 1.4 GHz/512Mb
I recently built myself a "new" computer and it works fine.
I have one odd problem:
my browser is Opera 10.1 and whenever I open the "Downloads"-tab, my computer starts making a faint squeeking noise.

It ONLY happens when Opera's Download-tab is open. If I change to a web page, the squeeking stops immediately. It starts again when I switch back to Download-tab. O_o

I'm suspecting the squeeking noise comes from my graphics card's (GeForce 4 Ti-4600) cooling fan, but how does it squeek only when the Download-tab is open?! It is very annoying and I had the same graphics card on my older computer setup and it didn't make any noises.

Please help! This is a very strange and annoying problem!

Could be a CPU overheating alarm you are hearing. Boot to the BIOS (setup) screens and check the system temperatures and check the alarm settings.

How could it be a CPU overheating? Why does it appear ONLY in Opera -> Downloads window? I've been on the computer for about 2,5 hours now, and the sound only appears when I open the Downloads tab. :/

I checked the CPU temperature, it is 58 degrees Celsius, so it's not very hot.

I have AMD Athlon 3000+ XP running at 2167 MHz (166MHz x 12.5x/13.0x) so no overclocking either.

The sound is quite silent, it sounds more like a bad fan bearings. The Opera - Downloads-tab activating the sound is the thing that puzzles me, not the sound itself.

The CPU doesn't need to actually overheat if the alarm is set to go off at too low a setting. Besides I am throwing out possibilities. The fan on the graphics card may speed up sometimes and make noise then.
