I have just heard about the Intel Nehalem Technology coming out sometime this year. There is supposed to be a quad core version. Will that new CPU work in my computer that has an Intel 45NM quad core CPU? Or are they going to have to make new Mboards too?

From what I understand it's a completely new socket type. Probably won't work with any current mobo.

I just noticed that. Hmmm, oh well, I wonder if it is going to be worth while. I'd sure think so.

The Nehalem is supposed to be up to 50% faster than the Core 2 & will be quite a change over previous Intel CPUs. In fact, it will be more "AMD-like" - the memory controller will be integrated into CPU & there will no longer be a FSB, plus as you stated, it will require a new socket.
