I am going to build a new computer and I have some hardware questions. I am set on a P4 2.8 GHz with 800 MHz FSB, and a motherboard with the Intel 875 chipset. My current top choice is the P4C800 Deluxe, but I am open to suggestions. My main question is about the video card. I am not sure whether to get the ATI Radeon 9800 (non-pro) 128 MB or the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 (non-ultra) 128 MB. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi TJ

That should work nicely, nice board, god processor, and for the vido card. Well my personal opinion only, I would choose the ATI card.

As for the mobo, the fact that you are looking at that high end market, have a good look at the latest offering from MSI and the Gigabyte 8KNXP, and dont forget the Flagship mobo from intel.

Do some heavy reserach if not done already into the other 3 and compare perofmance and specs aginst each of them.

Whichever comes up best in line with your requirements, that is the one to get.

Hope thats of some help to you.

Regards

Janos
