I just bought a new computer. Specs here.
1.8 Ghz P4
512 PC-133 RAM
CD-RW/DVD
2 Gig HD
1.44" Floppy
Win98SeOld Computer Specs:
900 Mhz AMD
40 Gig HD
128 ? RAM
52X CD
GeForce 4 64mb
FloppyNow is it feesable for me to put my 40 gig HD from my old computer that has all my games and videos and everything i've collected, and put it into my new computer as a separate drive and still play everything normally? And could i add the 128 RAM that my old comp has and put it into my new comp? If this is all possible, is there a site that could explain how to do this?
Thanx alot and I really do appriciate your help.

Yes that's totally feasible. It would suck to be stuck with a good computer like that and only 2 GB. The hard drives should go on the same IDE channel, and CD drives on the secondary one. You should add the RAM only if it's the same type(PC133). I don't know how detailed of an explanation you want and I don't like to type very much =p, but you can find answers to connecting parts on Google or on here or whatever. Or just ask another question.

The games wont run from the old drive on a new OS because of the lack of registry strings, if you have no-cd cracks or fixed exe's then they should be fine.
The video's will run, no problems there but i wouldnt bother with the memory, it sounds to me like you have enough already.
The HDD should go stright in as a secondary drive on the same cable that runs your HDD at the mo. Make sure the red side of the cable goes into pin 1 on the IDE cable and the jumper is set SLAVE (SL).
Do you have any CD Drives, if so put them on the seconday IDE and use the Primary IDE to run the 2 hard drives, there are other ways but this is pretty stright forward. The primary and secondary cable ports are clearly marked on the Mainboard.

Sorry i didnt read you post right, if you use your old drive in the new machine and chuck the old drive just run any mainboard drivers for your new hardware once the old drive has been put in.

So, just forget the old drive and run my new computer off my old HD?
Would all i have to do is take out the new one, put the old one in, and everything will work fine? i assume i'd have to reinstall my other hardware so the 40gig HD would receive it.

if you migrate the hard drive over, you have to deal with the hardware drivers (motherboard, etc). That's because your old hard drive will have the drivers for your old computer.
Why do you want to transfer the memory over? It's nice to have more than one computer...
