New computer, no signal on monitor

August 2, 2011 at 03:47:04
Specs: Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium , AMD Phenom II X4 3.7 GHZ 2x4GB Corsair Vengence Ram
I have built a new computer using a M4A87TD Evo mother board, Phenom 2 X4 processor, 2x 4GB Corsair Vengence DDR3 Ram and a Sapphire HD Radeon 6850 Toxic graphics card. I assume everything is linked properly because all the fans and lights work, but when I boot it up, the monitor keeps saying there is no signal.

Note: I have yet to install a hard disk and optical drive

List the system specs properly.
U need to perform this before installing everything into the computer case

Does your motherboard have a VGA port attached? Have you connected the video cable to the port on the video card and not to the motherboard? That's a mistake I have made a few times, so I just thought I'd ask.
