Comment: Ok guys, i got a new computer (tower only), pentium 4, 3ghz, 512 RAm, 80gig hard disk, and despite these magnificant attributes.. my monitor wont turn on.. it works fine on my other computer, i think the onboard motherboard of my new computer isnt enabled, so the monitor isnt getting a signal from the tower, what would you suggest?

Reply: (edit) If the monitor works on the old computer and the other computer is new as you stated, I'd take it back.

Reply: (edit)Go into BIOS and see if you can enable your onboard display adapter. Make sure you have your monitor correctly connected to it.

Reply: (edit) If the monitor won't turn on, how can you make bios adjustments? Less drastic: It might be as simple as a loose connection or improperly seated AGP or PCI, but opening up the system might void your warranty. I'd still take it back. A new computer should work first time out.
