Hey guys I've decided on a new pc for christmas, bit early I hear you say they've got advent calenders in the shops already lol. Anyways I'm in the UK BTW but i've got a US keyboard on my thinkpad so $ means pounds for this purpose okay just play along. So i've got a budget of around $550-570 and am wanting a pretty beasty pc that will last me though the rest of college and university, I Prefer Ebuyer BTW. I'm thinking roughly along these lines.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 1333FSB 4MB Cache 2.33Ghz
Gigabyte GA-P31-S3L P31 Express Motherboard
2GB DDR2 667MHZ (Cheaper) OR 800MHZ
250GB Or Bigger Hard Drive SATAII W/16MB Cache
Graphics Card I'm Confused Here DX10 or Not the cards in my range are 2600XT GDDR3 maybe GDDR4, 8500GT, 8600GT and possibly a 8600GTS or should I just go for a Radeon X1950XT 256MB GDDR3 which is by far the best for DX9 according to DX10 card reviews.
Optaric 18x DVD +/- RW Drive
Oh and I need help with a case something with 500w power supply or better possible silentium T1 pro.
Decent set of 5.1 speakers
So to conclude I need help with:
Case
Graphics Card
Oh and does anyone know about AM3 and the Phenom or any DX10.1 cards that will be out for christmas.
Thanks in advance

My Systems: iDEQ 200T, P4 3.4Ghz,1GB DDR400 Dual Channel,160GB SATA,19'' W/S LCD Monitor, IBM Thinkpad R52 What a Machine IBM/Lenovo Rule, Acer Travelmate 2305LCI

i cant help you on the pc but you can alter your laptop to show £ sign by telling windows to use the british keyboard layout and then put a sticker over the $ sign. You will then also have @ and " in the UK places on the keybaord

i dont know about whats on ebuyer but i would recomend a
Antec NSK 6580 Super Midi Tower Case - 430W Earth Watts PSU
get it from overclockers.co.uk

i got one of theses as a cheap server with powersuply and paid about £50 whats i got was the best case ive ever paid for and the price out shines it by far. the psu is silent you can hear a mouse fart when its on. the drives are mounted on ruber gromets to keep em quiet. there is a tonne of room and the air flow excelently. there is also a fan on the back of the case which is big and can be set to spin slowly to keep the noise down. even full blast is just noticable. the case also looks brilliant well worth the cash and it kills two birds with one stone psu and case!

can recomend OC as a company but there PP can some times be steep.

tell us how you get on.

oh you missed out on the memory i say crucical since there free for dilevery from em and thell take it back no fuss if you say it dosent work

P.S. just looked at it on the site i think its gone up by about £20 since i got it but still look into it. im impressed

all text needs typos. There there for the reader to find,to distract them from the total lack of content.
