I'm planning on building a Phenom II based system (either the 920 or 940). Now, I've been searching around for a reasonably priced motherboard to go along with the cpu. Here is one board I've come across:

Thoughts?

BTW, I am still using 2 PATA hard drives and 2 PATA optical drives, so the board needs to have 2 IDE channels. Most other boards I've seen only have one PATA w/ a 2 device max. Obviously, my motherboard choices are somewhat limited as a result. Is the board I've listed above ok, or should I be looking at an alternative?

Thanks

The nForce 750 is an older chipset. Get a more modern board & install an IDE controller card. Or just dump the 2 IDE optical drives altogether & get a single SATA DVD burner for about $20.

There is also the option of using IDE to SATA adapters.

Jam, could you recommend a better board? Looking to spend between $100 - $140.

Thanks
