HI all, I just built a new box. Celeron 1.7, D845HV intel mobo. Windows 2000 loaded fine and all Microsoft updates. The system will run all night as long as I'm not doing anything, so I don't think. I open the browser and it will freeze after a minute or two. It will also freeze up using add/remove programs, aida32 sysinfo, and browsing the lan. I haven't seen any useful information on the intel site. I saw some stuff for boot problems and overheating cpu, but nothing about freeze ups. I tried a different hard drive with the same results. I'm stumped. Please help!!

I'm having a similar problem with my sister's machine. it's a AMD Athlon2800+ w/ Asus A7N8X-Deluxe (the non E version). I've tried everything I can to get it to work, and I've narrowed the problem down to the motherboard, more specifically, the RAM subsystem.
The only difference between your problem and mine is that with mine it's completely random, sometimes it freezes during the windows XP splash screen. Somtimes it'll go for hours without a problem.
