New build computer, no video input.

Specs: Windows 7
I put my new computer together today. The power turns on and can stay on, but my monitor will not show the video input. I have not loaded the OS or anything yet. I have tryed two different video cards (nvidia gtx 470 and an old card from a barbone computer) in 2 differnet pci slots on 2 different monitors. any adivice would be greatly appreciated.

List your specs in detail, including your power supply specs (not just wattage). Also, if you didn't benchtest your hardware before installing it in the case, you skipped over a very important step.

Well, i did not benchtest. I'm using a asus sabortooth 58x, gtx Geforce 470, G.skill 12800 3x4 ram, 800 watt antec power supply. My motherboard uses lights that turn on in the area that isn't functioning right, and the light near the ram is on.
