my new motherboard won't start up anything. no post beep, no bios, nothing. i bought a new cpu that the people in the computer store said was compatible, because according to them, my other cpu wasn't. i tried the new cpu and still nothing. the fan on the cpu comes on, the led comes on, it sounds like it wants to start up, but it won't. my power supply is a 115 that i can change with a switch to 230. i did that, but that did nothing at all, the processor didn't even sound like it was about to boot up. when i change it back to 115 it sounds as if it will boot, but does not. everything is hooked up properly, i've toggled the jumpers. nothing can make this thing work. anything you can tell me will help. thanks in advance,
Marcos

You may have done some damage when you set the voltage to 230V. If the motherboard is new, you should have a manual. There should be a troubleshooting section near the rear. Look in the manual for a clear CMOS jumper and try doing that. If computer still doesn't start, I suggest you take it to the store where you purchased the parts and seek tech support.

" i've toggled the jumpers"
Bad decision! Check your documentation thoroughly and make sure all the jumpers are set correctly `before' powering up. You can destroy a CPU by having the jumpers set wrong.
