Hey Guys, The other night I went to sign on to the net and my computer couldnt connect. I tried looking at all the available wireless networks and it found none, normally there are 5 or six including mine. I then noticed in my quick launch bar on the bottom that anything internet involved (AOL, wireless card, network adapter ect) had X's through them. I tried to restore my settings to a point when I knew everything was working and nothing. How do I check my card to make sure it is working? Also, If I wanted to back up my hard drive and format it could I somehow send all my files into a folder on my other computer to do this? Thanks in advance

Check to make sure that your wireless access is enabled.

There usually is a switch somewhere on the laptop that could have accidentally been hit/moved. My hp has a sliding switch on the front that sometimes get moved slightly disabling my wirelss access.

If your computers are networked you should be able to set up a folder on the other computer that you share out. Then copy your files to that folder. You could map a network drive to that folder so that it always connects making it easy to access. However, this setting will wiped out once you format the drive.
RBest
