i HAVE A DELL STUDIO 1558. THE INTERNET KEEPS GOING OFF WITH THE CODE NETWORK CABLE UNPLUGGED. WE DON'T HAVE A CABLE BECAUSE WE HAVE WIRELESS. HELP!!!

Please turn off the Caps lock. You're getting the "network cable unplugged" message because the wireless connection is dropping out then the system is finding that there's no network cable connected. Ignore the error message about the cable & concentrate on the problem with your wireless.
Are any other devices sharing the wireless connection? If so, are they experiencing problems or just your laptop? If it's just the laptop, you can try updating the wireless driver. You should also run a full scan for viruses & malware from safe mode.
Check signal strength and/or a different channel (you might be sharing with a strong signal). Stupid Windows does not give you channel information but this free program will do it:

The only device I am having problems with is the laptop and it is driving me crazy! I don't know much about computers so how and what do I do with the channel information. When it is working it says the signal strenth is strong.
Hi Heather, Have you completely powered the router off by disconnecting from the mains, waited 10-20 seconds then powered back on.
This is a cold boot and well worth trying as a first step.
Are other devices using this same router and if so are they working ok?
Good Luck - Keep us posted.
