I have a Netgear MR814v2 router with me, and I misplaced the power adapter. I found a power adapter that fits the power plug, but the power adapter says Linksys on it. I was wondering if someone can tell me the output volt/current on the correct power adapter. I can't find this information on the router itself.

Thanks,
- Eli

I would think the manufacturer of that router would be the best source.

Might just consider a new router. On sale they might be less than trying to find the correct wall wart one or worse, burning down your home. How much is your possessions worth? Throw both away.

Rant warning

Damn wall warts! I have to write on each one with a special silver magic marker when I get them or we will never figure them out.

Be sure to get the official documentation and look for the exact volts and amps that it requires. I'd bet that there isn't two exactly alike. Must be some part in global warming 50 million different adapters cause. I have spend hours going through goodwill bins trying to find the correct one.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

Thanks. Hmm, this was just an extra router that I found was was going to use to hook up two computers over ethernet to transfer files more quickly because the main router is in another room. I've ruined one router in the past by inadvertantly using the wrong power adapter.
