Nero doesn't see DVD Burner

Comment:
I have just installed a DVD burner to take the place of my old CD burner. I'm running NERO 5.5.10.42 (Not a bundled version) but it fails to detect the burner. Whenever I start the program it only has Image File as selected burner. I have tried uninstalling NERO and reinstalling but it made no difference. Am I missing something here? How do I get NERO to recognize and use the burner?

Nero supports many DVD burners in version 5. Check here to see what version supports your recorder. version 5.5.10.56 is the last update for version 5
from the top menu bar, have you tried "choose recorder"
