Need to boot toshiba satellite l300

My laptop won't start and says it needs boot disc ,any way i can get a program to put on my flash drive

If your laptop was previously working before getting a boot disk error message, the first thing you need to do is check your harddrive and/or run chkdsk. Depending on the age of your laptop you may have the option to boot from a USB drive, otherwise you need to boot from a Wndows disk to do the checks.

... do see any options after tapping <F8> key @ bootup like "repair" ?

It will only go to the f12 menu and i can boot from usb
