Hey, I'm really frustrated with my current motherboard (A biostar m7vit pro) and looking for a new one that'll work with my current hardware. I've got an Athlon 2700+ processor, a Radeon 9700 pro 3d card, two 512mb pc2700 ram sticks, and a creative sound blaster live sound card. Any suggestions on what kind of motherboard to get would be appreciated.

I suggest looking at nForce2 based MBs. Look for the features that you want or need. You can find virtually about any combo of features that you want. You may want to head over to AMDMB.com and check the forums there to see what MBs are the most popular right now. The onboard sound of many of these boards exceeds the sound card you now have. If you desire to keep the SB card I suggest you look at some of the MBs with budget sound, as you don't need the onboard.

The MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR is a great mobo. And it would work with what you have for hardware.
