Comment: I know this might be overkill because everyone has been asking about the latest video cards. i really want a good video card that is going to be equally good for playing games and watching movies. the problem is i am on a kinda strict budget. i don't have enough for the latest radeon card but i want to spend about 150 dollars. i have a GeForce 2 64 mb right now and i would like to upgrade to some kind of 128 mb card. i was thinking about the radeon 8500 any suggestions?

Reply: (edit)Can't you get a Radeon 9500 for around that price. The 9500 is much better than the 8500. I personally use Nvidia, and have been using a GF4 Ti4200 for 3 months..nice card. If your searching for the best deal, go with the 9500 over the 8500 and the ti4200. Look for benchmarks on various sites to compare the preformance. Thats really the best way to shop for a video card--look for reviews, there everywhere!
