i need some advice on this video card
i'm thinking of adding a new video card to my computer HP Pavilion 6740C
the radeon 7000 pci video card is a 66MHz bus
but my motherboard is only 33 MHz
but its doesn't matter much anyway cas it will still work.my problem is with my 4 mb internal video card gives me about 15-25 frames in CS (counter-strike)
i was wondering with a 33MHz PCI bus speed about how many frames would i get if i was to install the ATI Radeon PCI 64MB video card? i dun want to waste 100 bucks on sumthing if it doens't change my frame rate dramatically!
thanks

No idea on the frames, but be aware that your internal video probably runs as agp, meaning it runs at 66mhz, not the 33mhz that the pci card will run at. And whereas a pci bus will send one bit per clock cycle, agp video can send 1, 2 or 4 bits per clock cycle (known as agp 1x, 2x and 4x). So it is possible that the new pci card will run more slowly than the on board video, even with its faster graphics processor. I really have no idea how they would compare but wanted to point this out about pci video.
Download WCPUID from below, then select the chipset icon to see if your internal video is running at 1x, 2x or 4x.

I have an ATI RADEON 32MB SDR PCI card (no AGP slot on M.B.) A 3D Fish Tank Screen saver , shows me in the upper right hand corner the FPS rate , it stays around 85FPS .I've been told thats an excellent frame rate. My PC came with i810 intergrated graphics with 4MB Mem. The Graphics card was a great improvement to the performance of my system .When I run a game like Quake III Arena the eye candy and detail is great ,I dont see how it could get much better. ATI now has a PCI card with 64MB DDR. Mem ! Good Luck,Nick

I have an Intell mb (L440GX+ Server Board) with a bad onboard video. I to save the board, but I don't know to disable the onboard so I can use the PCI Video. I had know luck on the web page. Does anybody know what I can do.
