Need Help With My On-Board Graphics

Comment: Hi i see some people here know a lot of pc and on-board graphics motherboards, i need help with my on-board graphic card, cos its only 16mb really old and i bought a new one, i uninstall the on-board one and shut down the pc, the i plugged the new pci card and the pc starts ok recognize the new one but when i get into the windows desktop the XP recognize too the old card and the its like a conflict between cards and the pc shut down by itself, ill try everything, look at the bios to see if is some way to disable the onboard card but i cant, i uninstall it and disable it on XP but when i start over the XP recognize both cards and shut down, i dont know what to do i wrote a email to biostar that is my manufacturer of the motherboard and they said that my MB was not made to add video card on those pci slots but im not sure of that cos the pc recognize the New card and when i plugged the monitor cable on it the pc starts ok until the xp recognize the old card again, i need help please, somebody tell me how to disable that old onboard card permanently. and if u tell me something about jumpers u have to explain a lot cos i read about those but i dont know what are they and where to find it please please help i hope i wasnt waisting my money and time in this PC. Reply: (edit)i got the manual, and in the manual doesnt said anything about disable a onboard video card, i only says the 3 pci slot that the pc has but doesnt tell me if i can use it for video card , the manual doesnt give me a solution JoseH2R

Reply: (edit)Check the BIOS Settings under INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS and look for an entry which states first VGA device ie INIT DISPLAY FIRST or similar................
