Solved Need help with Computer testing Quality Control

Specs: all, all
I need some help with checking computers for anything that might not work. Before booting from a drive or after and I need to push the computer to its limits to see if everything is working properly and I'll also need to give an explanation of what I'm testing in any particular stage. If any hardware fails I need to replace it. Can anyone please help?!
By the way, this will mostly be done on multiprocessor servers and that's also why I have to test them to make sure they don't just crash, especially if it's file servers.

Memtest has been a good standard for memory. Commercial products and factory line tests have been the normal way to test for use to consumer. You could get wild and use tests inside a hot and cold chamber even.

I think I'd look for some commercial test suite. I haven't used them in a while.

All of that is basically meaningless. An OS and a system have to work together. You can add in a service pack or driver change and the stupid thing will crash. Testing on the exact OS level is one of the better ways. Testing under real world tests like database transactions. Using network and file transfers are realistic.

A Pit Bull is like a gun you can pet. And there is no safety on it.

Take a look at Sisoft SANDRA. The link below is to the company site. There are free lite versions and possibly limited time full programs.

I haven't used SANDRA for a number of years but it used to be the best.
