Specs: Windows XP, Pentium II/192 MB RAM
Can I use 192 MB PC100 DIMM (original) with a 256 MB PC2700 DDR (new) stick of RAM together in the same computer?

NO! They are 2 completely different types of memory. They have different pin counts (168 vs 184), run at different voltages & use different DIMM slots. You have to stick with what's compatible with your oldtime motherboard & that's oldtime PC100. You also need to look into what your board supports. It may only accept 128MB per slot.
