hi, i recently reformated my computer and i need a sound card driver because i currently have no sound at all i checked my device manager and under the Sound, video and game controllers i found audio codecs, legacy audio drivers, legacy video capture devices, media control device, MPU-401 compatible MIDI device, standard gameport, video codecs. which is for sound and where can i downlaod it. any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance

How can anyone possibly direct you to appropriate drivers without any information on the hardware involved. Is it a brandname system? If so what make/model? If not then what make/model motherboard do you have? Is this an onboard soundcard or a separate plugin?
