Why do u need the recovery disc? Does it have recovery partition?

You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.

Read your online manual. I am pretty sure that Sony allows you to make one copy of a recovery disk directly from your computer (if you have not already waited until it is too late and you have a major problem already). Otherwise contact Sony about purchasing it from their tech support.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

It's probably a Recovery disk SET of disks.

You don't necessarily need one unless the original hard drive has failed and you have replaced the hard drive.

READ the Recovery info for your model !
That may be in the Owner's or User's manual for your model, which is available in the support for your specific model on the Sony web site, or in any case somewhere on the Sony web site in the support for computers.

This web site has brand name system Recovery disks the same as the original ones and lists your model....

You MAY be able to download the files with which you can make your own set of disks on another computer as soon as your payment has cleared.

(If you don't have a credit card, or you do but you don't want to use it online, you can set up a Paypal account to use a specific bank account.)

If you merely want to install a larger hard drive, if Windows is working fine on the original hard drive, you can use a free version of cloning software to copy the entire data contents of the original drive to a larger drive, then swap drives.

You should have made them a LONG time ago. From the SONY website:

"There are no system Recovery Discs included with the computer. The recovery data required to return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition is included on a special partition of the hard drive. The following procedure can be used to create a set of Recovery Discs from that data, which can be used to restore the recovery partition and return the computer to the original, factory-installed condition in case this is ever necessary."
