need effecitve data recovery tool

I have a hard disk with valuable data it was formatted and windows me was installed. can i roll back the whole thing and recover my data. Please help, I will pay for any effective tool to recover my files no problem. All suggestions are appreciated

You might try www.runtime.org which advertises on this site.
It's not going to be an easy task. Your XP probably had the drive partitioned as NTFS. Installing ME would have necessitated removing that and creating a FAT32 partition. And of course anything the ME installation wrote over won't be recoverable.
