I need some adive i just bought an external sony dvd +- rw drive . it has a i.link firewire and usb 2.0 . I have usb right now but no firewire i was going to buy a pci firewire card but what should i choose Please Help me.

I prefer firewire because it transfer a little bit faster. Although USS at 480Mb/s and firewire only at 400Mb/s, but too much overhead and turnaround time that make firewire become a little bit faster.

Don't waste any money on firewire if you have USB 2.0. At least with USB the drive can be a bootable device. Firewire bootable??? The difference between the two will only show using a digital camcorder. USB 2.0 will work fine with any DVD Burner since they only run at 33mbps even in DMA mode.
