I just recently bought a portable DVD player.
Music and MP3 cds work perfectly but when I play a DVD every so often the sound will pause for mini second then continue playing.

I tried a few different DVDs but there is still that small pause.

I also tried using a DVD lens cleaner but inspite of using that it didn't help.

In the past few days you've created five threads about this using three different user names. Quintuple-posting is frowned upon here. All right:

-Are you playing a commercial DVD or one that you made on your computer? If homemade, try burning the DVD at a lower speed, decreasing the bitrate, or both. Also make sure that you're using DVD-R media instead of DVD-RW. Write-once DVDs generally have better compatibility with standalone devices than do rewritable DVDs.

-Could be a bad unit! What are the store's return policies?

Take it back to the store.
