I bought a new Dell PC with NEC DVD R/W burner. When I try to burn a Data DVD, I get a message stating " The disc in the burner is not the proper media, please insert a blank DVD". Dell sent me a new burner. I have the same results. I put the burner in an old desktop, same results. Do you know if the burner is brand specific for which dvd media it will burn to? I tried memorex DVD R, and Memorex DVD R/W.
