Reply: (edit)my compaq is f10 too. the little square must mean the cursor that shows up for a brief second. note, you can't access a compaq bios if you don't have that special partition on your hard drive. I formatted my hard drive, and now i need to use a disk to access bios (even then, not all the options are available). compaq uses a hidden partition. If i want to access bios regularly, i have to re-install that special partition, which i haven't gotten around to (it needs to be installed in the beginning of the hard drive, which i don't know how to do). then again, maybe it's a laptop only thing *shrugs*
