My desktop wallpaper does not show up. Several days ago it showed up normally, but then one day when I turned my PC on, it was just black. Then I did this step: I right-clicked in desktop area ---> properties ---> desktop wallpaper ---> change picture ---> apply ---> but still no pictures until this moment. I press F5 or click refresh but nothing happened. Could you help me? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for all your kindness

I'm having the EXACT same problem as TheCuteLittleMissy. Someone PLEASE HELP!

I am not a computer nerd but I use my computer everyday sites(not porn), online gaming, etc.. so I do know how to use a computer and put wallpaper(via properties or right click on a picture)

but now my computer is black on the background and when I try to change the wallpaper on 'properties' its not letting me click on anything.. its frozen and I cant change it anyother way

help please =(

... and you couldn't just describe this in your own words, without referring to that (very) 'helpful' post, concerning an entirely different breed of Windows (and why choose the Hardware forum)?

Hopefully, you can 'restore' your way out of this problem, as advised

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

Try going to right-click on Desktop, Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop, Web.

Once there Delete all but the one that says My Current Desktop and remove the tick next to it if it has one.

It sounds some kind of Trojan or Spyware!
I've had a similar problem and it was spyware!
Disable Active Desktop and run Ad-Ware or other updated spyware cleanner in safe-mode.

Thats How I solved my black Desktop problem!

Good luck

I'm just a shadow of my former self!
