Solved my touchpad curser sticks

Specs: Linux x86_64
How do I fix my curser from sticking on my laptop touchpad. It will not move. I have a windows Vista studio. I do not see a little button above the key pad or maybe it is there, but does it have a emblem on it to distinguish it?
Is there any other ways to stop it from sticking and having to pull out the battery to shut it off?

Also my font size keeps changing.

The touchpad toggle is sometimes a dual-function key on the top row or second row down - the Fn key has to pressed first, then the touchpad toggle key. The icon on the key is usually a hand.

Note: you don't need to pull the battery to shut your laptop down. Just press the power-on button firmly for one second to achieve a normal shutdown. No need to use the shutdown menu at all. I use the power-on button method all the time 'cos it's easier & quicker than the menu method.

Do you have an external mouse you could try in the system? If that works, it's likely an issue with your touchpad driver. But you could also test it out in safe mode, if the problem goes away there then I'd say a backup then Windows reinstall is in order.

After that, it's likely hardware related and you'll need to get the touchpad replaced. This is not for the inexperienced and you should likely pay someone else to do it because the work is both delicate and frustrating. If the touchpad is soldered/integrated to the motherboard then you'll need to replace the motherboard.
