My Toshiba laptop won't turn on?

February 26, 2011 at 08:34:35
Specs: Windows XP
My laptop was working fine last night. Then I was trying to update Windows. This went all fine and dandy, except for the fact that my speakers were no longer installed. Because the laptop does wacky things now and again, I just restarted. While rebooting, the laptop shut off. I rebooted again, and chose to run the launch repair thing. When that seemed to be 'done' my laptop shut off a third time. Now, there are no indicator lights or any response from pressing the power button. What is wrong and how do I fix it? Actually, nevermind the 'what is wrong' I can deal without knowing the problem, so long as it's fixed.

Have you tried taking the battery out and using the direct power, if not then try it. Also take out your RAM sticks (DO THIS WITH THE BATTERY AND POWER DISCONNECTED) and leave them out for 3-4 minutes and then insert them and try booting.

If this does not work then respond back to this thread and I will explain further.
