Hi, l own a toshiba equium p300 16t laptop. Following a break in use for about 2 months l returned to it to use. It powers up as if it is going to start properly but there is no display. It worked 100% when last use - your help/ideas would be well appreciated

Try F8. If you get to the menu, try last known good config or VGA mode. If they don't work connect an external monitor , to it. See if that works.

Does it have manual controls to adjust the brightness and contrast? If so maybe they're set to minimum.

Hi Levim,

a) remove/replace th ebatery 2 or 3 times, which cleans its contacts.
You will be surprised how many faults this method has cured.

b) try leaving it on for a long time, to fully charge the battery.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
