It happened after my power supply died. I took it to a shop and the guy put a new one in after about a week my sound stopped working. I think he reformated my computer while it was there. Its been like this for a few months ive been using my logitech headset because that has its own soundcard build it

Take it back to the place that "fixed" it. It's not fixed.

check out whether the sound is enabled from the bios.if its not than do it.the yellow mark shows that there is a driver conflict so set the bios to defaults.now delete the device from device manager and add it back. now install the drivers from the driver cd and it should work.

still if not do contact me.
