my resolution is messed

OS: windows 98 v 4.10.1998
CPU/Ram: AMD-K6 3d processor and 5

my resolution is stuck in 640x480 and i cant move the slider i need help please i just reformatted and since then i cant get it to go, also my color is stuck in 16 colours and cant get it to go anywhere higher. and another problem i need help getting my speakers to work they dont say on them what kind they are they just have wires and since i reformatted they dont work and i cant find a driver for them i need one.

please help.

You need to install your display and sound drivers. What are your graphics and sound cards?

I dont know i know barely anything about my computer can u give me an idea of where i can check to find that stuff out??????help me please im slow
