My PC's Mic and Speaker is not working :(

Recently I changed my mother board ie. from Intel 945 GCL to Intel PR31, but Iam using the same Processor ie. Intel Pentium 4. The only thing is I am unable to hear the mic or speaker. I tried installing the realtek, but it shows the error unknown device. Do I need to re-do my OS as well. Please advice

You should have recieved a CD with your new motherboard did you install all the drivers from that CD? if not then do so. Do into device manager and see if you have any yellow question or exclamation marks next to anything - to do this go to START - right click my computer - then go to properties - once the window opens on the HARDWARE table click device manager. Let us know what you find.
