Comment: The problem i have is as follows. I am trying to install windows xp on my system. My problem isn't really related to the op system. When i turn on my computer nothing happens. The power is on but it fails to boot from either of my hard drive, floppy or cd rom. My monitor remains off (blank) and i cant even access my bios. I really need some help on this. Cheers.

Reply: (edit)Try to start up only whit diplaycard and motherboard, and if that works, then you connect harddisk, and if that works, then the floppy and so on, until it all works...

Reply: (edit)Has this PC ever worked or you've just bought it? Maybe the jumpers were not correctly set. Check the mobo manual for this. It also could be, as glenn said, a dead bios. But in this case don't throw your mobo, the bios can easily be replaced. I had a similar problem with a SOYO mobo and had replaced my bios for only 20 bucks. Good luck
