Considering you have an older Dell with a Celeron & PC133 RAM, you'd be better off starting from scratch.

Agree to some extent with jam. There is little you can do to that rig to make a good gamer of it. Adding another 256mb ram would be about the only thing I would consider as long as you can do that cheaply. Perhaps if you are using on-board graphics you could consider a plug-in graphics card but that rig could not run the latest/greatest in graphics cards anyway. If you were seriously looking at replacing the motherboard/cpu and then upgrading the ram and graphics then you would definitely be better off just selling that rig and start afresh. And yes there is a way to save your existing files etc. decide on your upgrade first and then research what's needed to move your current harddrive to a new rig. there are easy/low risk, and not so easy/high risk methods.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

you want to play the lastest games???

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but there is no upgrade possible to your current system that would allow you to play the latest games, you can't even play older games with that thing.

You mentioned upgrading your MoBo, RAM, and graphics card, but you did not mention your processor (CPU) or your power supply (PSU). These 2 components are also no good and will need to go.

You can start by giving us your upgrade budget, then we can give you some recommendations on the best setup for your needs.

If your budget is very tight, you can build a Socket A AthlonXP/Sempron basic system that will allow you to play most current games. If you can afford more, then go with an Athlon64 system.

Don't put a question here? lol
