My monitor doesnt boot after restart/sleep!

December 31, 2010 at 01:21:38
Specs: Windows 7, Intel Pentium 2.8 GHz dual core
For like 3 months I couldnt restart my PC since my screen would go black, but the computer would still work.So I didnt restart it..
Now I went on sleep and when I try to open my PC my screen wont open (No signal detected), the restart button doesnt work, its like a PC that waits to be opened from sleep mode but the monitor doesnt work, nor does the restart button.

Monitor: BenQ FP5IG

If someone could answer me so I can fix this out I would appreciate it a lot!

Make sure your screen resolution & refresh rate are set according to the manufacturer's spec. Update your graphics drivers to the latest available. And stop using sleep mode! Disable sleep, hibernate, standby. These features are meant for mobile devices & can cause problems with desktop PCs. If you're concerned about being "green", just alter your power scheme settings.
