my mic wont work?

hey guys i have an a7v8x-x motherboard and am wondering why my mic doesnt work.. it's onboard along with sound and stuff.. my speakers work fine but my mic doesnt.. i know the mic works because i used on another system.. thanks

You may need to either enable it in the BIOS or install the correct drivers or both. For the mic, check the advanced audio settings, mic may be muted or turned down low.

have no setting for mic in bios.. everything is enabled anyhow.. nah not muted or low either

Misread your post. Thought it said NIC. Thought you had two problems. I don't know about your eyes but I have a time plugging into the correct port with the sound stuff. Those Icons are hard to see. Are you sure you are in the Mic port?

ah i fixed it heh.. i DL'd new drivers.. then i tried, i could hear myself very low.. so i went to control pannel and checked boost 1
