Ok accually its a friends mic but whenever she talks her voice sounds like a robot and dell help said something about speech recongition but i have no clue what that is plz help!

You havent provided a lot of information.

Does your friend actually have a microphone? Or is it as Dell suggests, she is using text to speach software.

Do you actually know this person? Or is this someone you have met in a chatroom?

Yes , she does and i do know her and the mic is working it just makes the sound come out and sound like a robot so we cant hear what she is saying

I can't hear anything from her. Which type of robot are we refering to? C3PO? R2D2? The Darleks from Dr Who? Actual robots, which make clunking noises and don't even try to speak? Microsoft Mary?

One possibility is that she does not have sufficient connection speed to stream audio. This would result in choppy sound.

Also check that you are using the same version of the yet to be named software.

Speach to text recognition software is required only if you wish to use your computer as a dictation machine. It can cause the system to become unresponsive.
