My laptop lenovo screen is cracked

Specs: windows
so I can't see options,i have been using a monitor to use it. IT had been promting me to update from windows 7 to10. I did this and it was great for a week then it said to update drivers so I did,now it wont open to windows and I cant see anything on the monitor cuz it wont open windows and can't see the screen on the laptop to repair. is their a way to press a sequence of buttons on laptop to see whats going on on the monitor?

may be helpful? It does show two different combinations that you can press to enable the external display. Not sure if it will work for you but no harm to try?

The laptop display screen "can" usually be replaced; but one heeds to know how to take the damaged one out of course... What is your exact model?

There's no such sequence of buttons that you are describing. The reason you see nothing on the screen is because of a driver error, ie there is nothing going to it.

Was this a driver the proper one from the computer manufacturer? If you used some driver website then that is a likely reason. Whatever, it seems like it was the wrong one.

Tap F8 key while powering on. With luck you will see the startup screen and if you select Safe Mode it should then use default drivers which will allow you to investigate.
