my laptop has 80% of free space but still run

ive cleaned everything plus it has 80%free space and my defrag takes for ever
what im trying to say is that it shouldnt b that slow the defrag when i have a 80% of free space....dont u think? and cannot find the size from drive please tell me step by step....the only thing i do is clean it thats it
TO JAM: well when u degrag it tells u the free space that u have and i dont even know what HDD means thats how i know the free space.
TO OTHEHILL: well when i open my computer where should i go to find the hard drive size? properties? bcouse i find nothing in properties that tells me the size of hard drive...... open? nothing here also......

Go to My Computer and select View> details. The total size and free space should now show.
ohhhhh ok: for total size i have 19.5GB and for free space 11.0GB i hope this is it...lol thanx for the step procedure.....so now u have the size now what u think

Right click on My Computer and choose Manage> Storage> Disk Managment. Right click on the C partition and choose properties> Tools> Defragment now> Analyze. If the message comes back that you do NOT need to analyze this drive then don't.
If you need to then let it run. Whatever time it takes, it takes.
One thing to note. Defrag can't run with LESS than 15% free space. You have far more than that, so you should have no problems there.
Summary: It may seems quite a waste of free space but it's a necessity. A volume must have at least 15% free space for defrag to completely and adequately defragment it. Defrag uses this space as a sorting are...
