| Go to system manufacturer's support site and download the webcam driver and install it. If this does not help, go to Device Manager and uninstall the webcam there and then either 'Detect Hardware' or restart the machine. The webcam should be reinstalled and working. If both Cobra's suggestion and this one does not work, the webcam is internally unplugged or is bad and needs replacing. Either have it professionally repaired (or factory service if under warranty) or use an external webcam. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
