Specs: Windows XP
There is a z symbol and power led which is on,but i can't boot from cd/dvd not even go into safemode. The capslock ect led is off.The battery is weak, because of wrong voltage so i bought a new universal charger. I redone the windows with sp3 and a week later it just shows a black screen.I can go into the bios, but nothing from there. The power led is always on no matter if it is turned on or off. Should it be like that. Please help!

It sounds to me since you redone XP with SP3 you either downloaded the wrong video driver or windows caught a video driver on updates that is not compatibale with your PC. Boot into bios using F8 and remove your video driver and this should fix your problem. If you dont know how to boot to bios reinstall XP. If you can get to BIOS you can get to safe mode

I meant to say if you dont know how boot to safe mode rienstall windows XP.

P.S make sure you hide video drivers in windows updates.
