Hello, I've been looking all day for a solution
today. I recently decided that i wanted to burn
a disk. So I put a CD-R disk into my CD-ROM
drive, and went to my CD burning software
(Realplayer) So I'm building my playlist to burn
and I click burn and it says a disk cannot be
found. Although there is a disk in the drive,
Anyway, I thought it was a software issue. So
I tried Nero, Same thing. Burner cheetah. All
displayed the same thing that my driver wasn't
working! So I went to google and tried
searching for my error, I found various
solutions, High\low filters or something. I tried
to delete those, Didn't work. I tried
uninstalling\reinstalling the driver, Didn't work
either. When I go to device manager it says
everything is working okay.

Guys whats wrong? Last time i burnt a CD
was last year. It worked fine. Now all of a
sudden It doesn't! I saw a thing on Microsoft
support that says when you recover your
computer, The burning capabilities don't
recover too. There was no solution.

Hopefully there is a way around this. Please

does the drive still read CDs fine? do you have another CD burner on another computer that you can use to verify your blank media? I've seen some cheaper blank CDs that are just never detected by the optical burner, but other blank disks work fine.
