My HP CPU freeze right after turning it on

November 17, 2012 at 13:28:55
Specs: Windows 7, strong enough to play crossfire

It froze right where you can push F10 for set up, F11 for SR etc., and i could do nothing.
I checked inside, 3 fans still working, so it couldn't be over heating

If you can't get into setup (BIOS) then it is almost certainly a hardware issue.

Overheating is a possibility but usually you would expect it to work for a while if you left it turned off for half an hour or so (unless the heat sink has become detached from the processor).

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Turn it on and let it sit there for a couple minutes. See if an error message eventually pops up.
